Sechaba Morojele grew up in Ethiopia, Italy, Swaziland, Lesotho, South Africa and England where he got his BSc degree in Statistics at the University of Manchester. Sechaba worked consistently as an actor and screenwriter in South  Africa. His got an MFA degree in film and TV directing from The American Film Institute (AFI). 


His script for UBUNTU'S WOUNDS (his final thesis project), was quarter finalist in the New Century Writer's competition and was awarded the $10,000 Martin Ritt Award that went towards the production of the film. UBUNTU'S WOUNDS later went on to win best short film at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles and the Directors's Guild of America (DGA) Student  Award for an outstanding achievement in directing.


Among his acting roles, Sechaba co-starred alongside Ice Cube, Elizabeth Hurley and Vingh Rhomes in the 1996 Film "Dangerous Ground" and has acted in numerous South African TV productions including Saints Sinners and Settlers, Going Up III, Yizo Yizo I, The Not Quite Friday Night series, Homelands and Cry Me A Baby, Justice For All, Zero Tolerance, Backstage, Hard Copy, Isidingo, Shadows. He directed and co-produced a mini series called After 9 for SABC1, directed a pilot hospital drama series for SABC2, documentary on Freedom Park, four commercials. His Writing credits include Kelebone, Isidingo, Generations and Soul City and was  head writer for a 40 part comedy series for SABC2.
